Create Your Own Spectrum At No Extra Charge

If your project needs extra PAR, lumens, or a completely customized combination of high-power LEDs, here's where you can create a truly custom spectrum for the same price as our preconfigured fixtures. Start by selecting your preferred fixture length,and then use the "drag and drop" tool below to create a 12" circuit board with any 15 LEDs of your choice. Finally, choose the beam angle you want us to build into your fixture. Fixtures contain one circuit board per foot, except the 18" fixture which contains one board and the 30" fixture which contains two boards.  We will repeat your custom LED pattern every 12" in your fixture. Your fixture will be hand built in Texas and carries a three year unconditional warranty against defects in workmanship or materials.

The Design It Yourself LED configurator allows you to build your personalized LED lighting system. You select the fixture length, color spectrum and beam angle…and we do the rest!  Commercial-grade, IP66 Waterproof LED light fixture assembled with a custom light spectrum.  With the LED configurator, you can configure over 565 million color combinations.  Build My LED is the first and only lighting company to give you real-time performance estimates on your new lighting fixture, including Lumens, Watts, Micromoles, CCT and CRI.  Like our preconfigured LED products, all of our custom spectrum products utilize the world’s most efficient LEDs (we use top-bin LEDs from top-tier manufacturers like Philips, Osram, Everlight, etc.), precision optical systems and solid-state electronics.  We design our LED fixtures to maximize the amount of light on target per electrical input watt, so you can create the most efficient lighting design possible.

    Created a custom build that emulates a competitor product, minus the white and couldn't be more happy. I have always been a t5 person due to full spectrum which LEDs are lacking. However, this is my second BML light and can't say how happy I am with how they look in my tank when white t5's are not running. Brings out all of my high end euphyllia rainbow colors and make my goniopora really pop!!

    I had tried several brands of LED lights for my grow rooms and always ended up a little disappointed. I tried BML after reading a recommendation in an LED online forum.

    I am blown away with the quality and performance of these lights. I am amazed at the amperage draw compared to the amount of usable light produced. These lights definitely solve my electric expense problem. My plants have responded very well even after only a week.

    We plan to expand our grow space and BML will be a big part of the project.

    What can I say, a fully customizable led light, it was exactly what needed to suppliment my main led light system that was lacking the full spectrum colors for my sps dominated reef. The team was very helpful and answered all my questions. Quick build and ship time.

    This light is compact and stylish. The light is so bright I am running at 50% for 4 hours and 30% the balance of the day. Fish and plants look great under the light. I highly recommend and would purchase again. Tank mounts and apex cable work great also.

    I have 2 @ 90w led fixtures (one 3500k the other 5000k) which are great for the vegetative stage, and may well do ok to flower as well, but, the plants I'm growing are known to benefit from an infusion of 600-650 throughout the flower stage

    I loved the fact that I could select my own spectrums to compliment what I already had, and at a very reasonable price, too!

    I inserted 2 X 3ft bars late Saturday afternoon.

    In just 2 days I could see the plants filling in well beyond what they had the 2 previous days, and continue at this accelerated pace 2 days later

    I only rated 4 Stars as it's so early, but this new growth certainly suggests 5 stars by the end

    Overall, I am pleased with the quality of the light. It is a great product, unfortunately the builder did not get get my custom design correct, its close but not right. Perhaps a QC check of the LED configuration is needed for the custom designs. It's a bit off balance now, but the plants probably don't mind too much.

    I stopped looking for my light, a BML custom, over a 12x36", 30 gallon, hanging 7" above the water - at this height there's a real nice shimmer to the tank and still there's PAR over 50umol, 12" under water - very nice, BML!

    The plants are going to need a lot of CO2 w/this light. But, you knew that, right?

    The dimmer options, they're nice too. Not a bad option to have, if you asked me.

    Man, man, man, I'm definitely impressed with BML's quality. How it's hand-made and super sleek, fixture is flawless(they even modified it to 17.5" from the original 18" for me at no additional cost). And thanks to Apexdv, my corals wouldn't get melted because I have the dimmer controller...the light is hella bright. Too bright actually. Light is custom with my choosing of leds.

Technical Notes:

* We use average spectroradiometric data for each LED type to estimate fixture performance and perform these tests in a laboratory environment. In practice your actual photometric results may vary. In addition, LED output will vary slightly both in spectral content and radiometric flux within the LED manufacturer’s bin tolerance. In normal use these variances are insignificant. If you are using a fixture in a research environment please contact us and we can provide performance details for the specific fixture if need be. The performance details we publish are taken from actual production fixtures and therefore include optical, thermal and electrical losses. They therefore meet the guidelines established in the official IES test protocol for measuring light output of solid-state lighting products. Some companies only list the performance specifications of the LED, which is not an accurate method of assessing the radiometric performance of a finished lighting system.
